Tuesday Tussle – Hawass vs Huffman vs Aston

Posted on June 19, 2012

Tuesday Tussle is a new post that I will be doing every now and then on a Tuesday. The aim is to have some fun and to vote for one of the Tuesday Tussle’s candidates. It will be archaeology and history related.

The last Tuesday Tussle was The Most Exciting Find:

And the winner:
Pottery with 40% of the votes!
And the runner up with 20% was Faunal remains.

Now for the third Tuesday Tussle: Zahi Hawass vs Tom Huffman vs Mick Aston

Which of these different yet world renowned people would you like to be?

Zahi Hawass is the former Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs. He has been on more excavations that we can imagine! He has written countless books and articles and he is known to many as the “Egypt guy”.

Now for some local flavor. Thomas Huffman is an archaeologist at WITS  – who has written countless articles and books on the Iron Age in South Africa. Most of us see him as a Rock Star in Archaeology of South Africa.

Mick Aston we all know from Time Team. He is based in Britain and he specializes in Landscape Archaeology. Aston is a very intriguing man who has also written countless articles and other works. A man that I am sure we are all sad to have seen leave Time Team.

Who do you think deserves to win this Tuesday Tussle?

Happy Voting!
